The Atlanta Falcons Offseason
Best Move of the Offseason: Trading for Jeff Okudah
One teams trash could be another teams treasure and the trade for Jeff Okudah from Detroit is a low risk/high reward move that surprised more than a few people in the NFL. Okudah has flashed talent but has yet to make it a consistent reality in the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons have been known to develop corners very well in their history. If Okudah can finally put his talent and skills into a complete package in 2023, the Atlanta Falcons could have made one of the best moves of the offseason that will set them up for success defensively and give them a leg up in a very winnable division.
The Top Draft Target
#8 Tyree Wilson (Edge) Texas Tech UniversityThe Atlanta Falcons need a defensive monster in their front seven as Grady Jarrett, while productive, is getting up in age and needs another guy that can dominate to get the most out of him. I thought Jalen Carter here but the best player for them to grab here in my opinion is Tyree Wilson out of Texas Tech who brings elite athleticism and physical traits to go along with rare versatility to play outside and inside effectively and would be the anchor this team so desperately needs.
