Overview
Xavier Hutchinson played on an Iowa State Cyclone offense that was relatively run heavy and featured a lot tight usage and still find a way to be a major factor on offense. He was the clear cut #1 receiver for his team with his ability to run incredibly precise routes and develop a great wave length with two different quarterbacks the last two years. His ability to get open and came away with the football on jump balls, bad passes, or simply fighting for it is what made him such a productive and dangerous outside threat for his team. Is a special athlete that can change a game in the blink of an eye? No and probably won't ever be but he's what defenses hate at the receiver position more than any playmaker, he's a chain mover and a highly productive one at that. With the right system in place, Hutchinson can be difference maker for an offense that wants to win by 1000 cuts to a defense with a heavy run game that sucks defensive backs off the field and gives Hutchinson opportunities to beat corners 1-on-1.
