Overview
Darnell Washington is a somewhat difficult player to grade because you have to try really hard to see the forest through the trees. At Georgia, he was hardly used in the passing game because they are historically a run-based offense in the first place and Brock Bowers is one of the best receiving tight ends in college football so Georgia utilizing him as a run blocker more often than giving a receiver would make sense. And when you take into account how little he was targeted as well as having Stetson Bennett throwing him passes that would be out of range for any other tight end, you see a tight end prospect that has loads and loads of potential to become a fixture on offense. He's very raw as a receiver, but he has extremely rare gifts as a blocker and any team looking to boost their run game will need to have him high on their board.
