Overview
Nolan Smith is one of the biggest draft mystery in 2023 because he has so many questions about where he is ranked among edge rushers as well as if Smith will even play edge rusher at the next level due to his enticing capabilities in coverage as well as his athleticism for his size. His comparisons range from Von Miller to Devin White to even Micah Parsons because of just how athletic he is and how he was used. What he plays in the NFL certainly depends on how the team drafting views his potential as what think he would be best at but rushing the passer is certainly a skills et of his. He may need an aggressive front seven to play with early on as he gains some more mass to better handle the rigors of the NFL but if a creative defensive mind sees the forest through the trees on his capabilities, he could be one of the best players in the draft let alone his position group.
