Overview
A lot of scouts and team are sleeping on Tiawan Mullen as a prospect and I can't understand why outside of his injury history and size. Mullen plays football at an NFL speed and his competitiveness on the field is contagious to his teammates. He's a good cover corner in all phases of the position and is a tremendous run defender that does all the little things right like trying to strip the football and timing his blitzes. Is he short for an outside corner? Yes. Does he play too hard for his size? Potentially, but stick him on an NFL defense and you'll see a player that will try and change the outcome of the game when he can. He should find himself getting selected late Day 2 early or early Day and frankly either would be a steal in my opinion. He's got all the intangibles and skills to be a solid contributor on defense for a creative defensive mind.
