Overview
Cam Smith is your typical South Carolina cornerback that brings a great deal of toughness and technical prowess with the athleticism to put any receiver on an island in the NFL and teams in need of a quality outside cornerback. He's highly instinctive at the position and knows how stay with his receiver and attack the football at all three levels of the field. He's a little light in his frame to play with the level of aggressiveness and tenacity that he currently does and at times his aggression can get away from him as it did in 2022 but coaches as they say would have try to dial back aggression than instill it in the first place. I think if he can get paired with quality veteran corner opposite him his first couple years in the league he could be a high quality NFL cornerback with shutdown potential.
