The Chicago Bears Offseason
Best Move of the Offseason: Trading the #1 overall Pick
You can call this the best move of the entire offseason in my opinion as the Chicago Bears decided to stick with their potential superstar quarterback in Justin Fields and instead ship their #1 overall pick to Carolina in exchange for a boat load of draft picks including #9 overall but most importantly they get a bona fide #1 receiver for Fields in pro bowl receiver D.J. Moore. The Bears can start their team rebuild much quicker, assuming they land some good players with their draft picks, and Justin Fields finally throw to a receiver that's not only expecting a big contract but will be worth every penny of it. Moore will bring out the best in Fields and the Bears will finally know the answer what his potential is in the NFL.
The Top Draft Target
Peter Skoronski (OL) Northwestern UniversityThe Bears need to improve the offensive line in the 2023 draft or the front office can honestly right off their season and prepare for 2024 as the Bears offensive line in 2022 was atrocious at best. Skoronski can play both guard and tackle and is the most technically sound lineman in the draft at both positions and would not only improve the pass protection for Justin Fields but keep the run game good and consistent.
