Overview
Trenton Simpson has been widely considered one of the freakier athletes in college football and his combine performance showed just what he's capable of. His ability to outrun ball carriers and bring them down with a vengeance is a great and necessary skill for the position and his potential to expand his skillset beyond this is what is going to get him drafted. The value of the position has taken a hit in the past decade as running the football has become less of a necessity for offenses but his coverage ability will also be a much desired skill. His overall game needs polish and could take a season or two for him to hit his high ceiling but you can't teach 4.4 speed in a 235 lbs. frame with his rare agility and explosiveness. He is a 1st round value player but he may fall a bit due to his position and will be an absolute steal for the team that drafts.
