Overview
Mazi Smith can go to the NFL his rookie year and be become a highly regarded run defender because defensive tackles with his level of athleticism and nastiness make an impact early in setting the tone in the interior but his potential as a pass rusher in the NFL is pretty high for nose guard based on his tape. He moves effortlessly with speed and agility rarely seen by a 320+ lbs. individual and his power to shed blockers and collapse the pocket is quite impressive. He'll need a pass rush specialist coaching him up to get him into working order because if he can add more moves to his repertoire, he could be a beast on an NFL defensive line and true anchor.
